The Pro Essentials Makeup Intensive (PEMI) series has been specially designed to offer a comprehensive program of training that is suitable both for entry-level makeup artists, as well as seasoned professionals that are looking to expand on and polish their skills. Our carefully structured courses ensure a good balance between theory, demonstration and practice, with a strong focus on developing an artist’s identity and technique.

How do I apply for a course?
To apply for a course, simply click on the ‘Apply Now‘ button next to the course information on its respective page and it will send you to an online application form. Select the course you are interested in and fill in your details. If there is availability for that program, we will reach out to you with a confirmation and further instructions for paying the tuition fees and securing your place.
On the occasion that a course is fully booked, we can hold on to your contact information to let you know of the next available dates for that course.

How do I pay for a course?
Tuition fees can be paid using PayPal, via bank transfer, or paid in person with credit card or in cash. To reserve your place in one of our courses, you will need to first pay a deposit fee listed on the page of each course respectively.
All course fees must be paid in full before the course starts.
We do not accept bank cheques.
How big are the classes?
We keep our classes fairly small at a maximum of 8 students. Students take turns to practice on each other and therefore only 4 students will be working simultaneously at any given time. This means you almost get one-on-one support and guidance from the educator during your training. We believe that this level of close attention is the detail that sets us apart from bigger schools, as you will never find yourself lost among a crowd and we can guarantee to provide you with enough time to answer your questions and closely mentor your learning journey.
Where do the lessons take place?

Can I sign up for your courses without having had any prior makeup training?
The PEMI Foundation course is suitable for beginners that want to learn the fundamental theory of makeup and to start developing their technical skills. If you have not previously studied with us, we recommend that you start with our Foundation course and then proceed to the other two available courses.
Entry to the PEMI Advanced and PEMI Bridal courses will only be granted to those that have completed a foundation course and hold a relevant certificate. The curriculum of PEMI Advanced and PEMI Bridal does not cover the basics, but rather aims to further expand on the students’ knowledge and to prepare them for real industry work.
Do I need to bring my own makeup products or brushes to the lessons?
The PEMI Foundation course offers a complete brushes kit and a selection of makeup tools from professional industry suppliers.
All students will be required to bring their own set of brushes to the lessons.
You will not be required to bring any makeup products with you. At the Beauty Parlour School of Makeup, you will have the opportunity to experiment with a wide range of high end products, from cult-classics to popular new brands that are trending on social media. Some of the brands you can find at our school include MAC Cosmetics, Kryolan, Chanel, Elizabeth Arden, Urban Decay, Laura Mercier, Lancôme, Bobbi Brown, Make Up For Ever, Ben Nye, Mehron, Too Faced, Benefit Cosmetics, Anastasia Beverly Hills, Illamasqua, and many more, as we are always updating our list and adding new, quality products.
Can the lessons take place at my own home?
No, we do not offer private lessons outside of our makeup studio. We find that the studio environment is ultimately the best for teaching, as it has the proper lighting and equipment required for makeup application and tutoring. Furthermore, at our studio you will be given access to a diverse and broad selection of makeup products and brands and it would simply be a pity not to have the opportunity to play with and try them out.
