Crystal Michael  / Makeup Artist

Crystal is a freelance makeup artist and educator based in Nicosia, Cyprus. She specialises in fashion, editorial, beauty, weddings and special occasion makeup. Her 11 years of experience include photo shoots, editorials, fashion shows, TV, theatrical shows, magazines and commercial work, collaborations with local and international designers, photographers and models, as well as a wide range of clientele in the bridal and private sectors.

Prior to her makeup education, Crystal completed a Bachelors & Masters course in Illustration and Visual Communication. Her passion lies in creating characters – whether working on paper or on the face.

Crystal developed her creativity and passion for makeup from an early age. She attended various makeup courses in London, UK, by prestigious schools such as the London College of Fashion, Illamasqua’s School of Makeup Art and London Muse Makeup Education, where she learned to give shape and form to her ideas, push herself to her limits but just as importantly, edit and polish her work.

Other than her creativity, Crystal is known for her unparalleled professionalism, her great organisational skills, as well as her care and attention towards practicing safe beauty and makeup hygiene.

Crystal is extremely detail-oriented and takes pride in her communication skills and her ability to build trusting relationships with clients, artists and directors. She excels at working under pressure and is always excited to face a new challenge, explore new concepts and techniques, and to develop new collaborations with other creatives.
